Description
R507A is a refrigerant blend used in medium and low temperature refrigeration applications. It is a mixture of two refrigerants, R125 and R143a, in a ratio of 50:50 by weight.
R507A has a lower global warming potential (GWP) than many of the refrigerants it replaces, including R22 and R404A. However, it is still a synthetic refrigerant and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. Its ozone depletion potential (ODP) is zero, meaning it does not deplete the ozone layer. R507A is used in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems such as refrigerated warehouses, refrigerated transport, and cold storage facilities.
